Buy Buy Buy – Nike+iPod

January 5 2007

Okay, so I know of the whole tracking issues, but I decided I wanted a new ipod nano to go with my new spiffy Nike+ trainers.

Nano is so cute and dinky, it’s going everywhere with me from now on, sound quality is great and the earphone have a nicer shape than my 2004 ones, which tended to hurt my ears if I wore them for too long.
It has photo viewing capabilities built in, but I don’t see me using that much with the screen so small. The games though, translate better to the small screen than I would have thought.

Nike+ trainers are so comfy, I’ve been wearing converse for so long I forgot how ace nike air feels on the feets. I’ll type up about the integration with the Nike+ module when it gets here, had to order it from the Apple store because apparently Nike have only approved a certain elite of retailers to stock the item, which is a bit wanky really.

Really need to give this site a spruce, something about the layout of the text doesn’t sit right with me…

mac moans

Why is there no fraking way to clean a Mighty Mouse without breaking the damn thing?

Oh yeah, they want me to just buy another.
Also, I’m enjoying Lily Allen’s album a lot more than I thought I would…

Get a Mac

Apple’s new ad campaign

The restarting one is probably the best of the bunch, even though OSX not having to reboot is an urban legend. I prefer these to the godawful “switch” adverts, which just seemed to sell a superiority complex rather than a useful computer.

I wonder how long it will be before some offended pc users make their own versions of these.

On the buying list

April 30 2005

Looking around for junk to buy this month so far the list is

  • Mac OSX Tiger - Been on my list for ages, decided to take the plunge today after reading all the good press on the OS and in particular Spotlight, word running round the tech circles, is that once Longhorn features a similar option, folders could be a thing of the past.
  • Superfriends vol 2 – I never got to see these as a kid, so it’s been kinda fun getting into the series. I have much love for the overall Silver Age style madcap adventures the JLA are sent on. Plus vol 1 had a great documentary that interviewed some great comics writers like Mark Waid and Geoff Johns.
  • Batman Vol 3 – Anyone who has read Batman knows this is the best media representation of him, bar none. Just an awesome, dark and haunting version of batman that set a bar for other comic book animated series that few have lived up to.

There’s some other stuff I’m looking at too, but I’m watching the funds these days so I can’t go crazy with the spendy like I used to.
This has been another useless post brought to you by James McEwan and his credit card.
