It’s been a very difficult week, on Saturday the 23rd of September, my Nana passed away, she was 74.

My Nana has always been a very prominent and important part of my life, as a second mother and as a confidant. She was the only person in my family I really felt I could talk to about anything and now that she’s gone, I feel very lost.

She was an amazing woman, always thinking of others before herself and was a parent to not just my brother and myself but to our friends and to all that knew her, always ready for with a sympathetic ear and willing to stand up to all kinds of bullies on your behalf.

I’m really going to miss you Nana. My last words to you still hold true, I love you.

I also want to say thank you to my family, my Mum and Dad for being so strong, my cousins Jennifer, Veronica and Donna for helping us through this tough time and to my Uncle John for being there for his brother, my Granddad who’s been a pillar of strength during this time.
Finally to Dan and Maria, who I can honestly say are the best friends I could ever have both have been there for me this week when I needed them most, Dan getting in trouble for taking time off work and Maria travelling 4 hours from Aberdeen to support me. You’re both the greatest.
