…and he draws too!

April 30 2005

New piece of art today:

I’m really happy with how this one turned out, since I have the next week off work I’m gonna see how many more of pics I can do.

Also on the fitness side, I’m upping my daily sit-up count to 300. I was going to start doing press ups too, but there’s a clicking feeling in my right elbow when I try, so I think I’ll see a doctor about that first.

On the buying list

April 30 2005

Looking around for junk to buy this month so far the list is

  • Mac OSX Tiger - Been on my list for ages, decided to take the plunge today after reading all the good press on the OS and in particular Spotlight, word running round the tech circles, is that once Longhorn features a similar option, folders could be a thing of the past.
  • Superfriends vol 2 - I never got to see these as a kid, so it’s been kinda fun getting into the series. I have much love for the overall Silver Age style madcap adventures the JLA are sent on. Plus vol 1 had a great documentary that interviewed some great comics writers like Mark Waid and Geoff Johns.
  • Batman Vol 3 - Anyone who has read Batman knows this is the best media representation of him, bar none. Just an awesome, dark and haunting version of batman that set a bar for other comic book animated series that few have lived up to.

There’s some other stuff I’m looking at too, but I’m watching the funds these days so I can’t go crazy with the spendy like I used to.
This has been another useless post brought to you by James McEwan and his credit card.

Brandon Routh as Superman

April 22 2005

Not sure if I like this suit, just a bit boring. In fact it looks like the George Reeves one.

Self Indulgence 101

April 22 2005

Haven’t posted here in a while, just really busy working on other aspects of my life these days I guess.

For the last month I’ve been restricting my eating habits as well as my spending, I think it was about time I nipped these in the bud as I was just getting stressed from being fat and poor, plus the whole if you keep eating stuff that’s bad for you will die, message works.

So far I’ve lost about a stone and a half, which is great for me.

I’ll be uploading a few new photos later once flickr is active again.
